James Quinn, 2, Hammond Street, Blackpitts, Dublin, was a member of the Columcille Hurling Club. He used to say that he would only exchange his caman for a rifle. He was a painter by trade. He was killed holding the back entrance of the South Dublin Union on April 24th. He left a widow and young family. He is buried in the 1916 Plot in St Paul’s, Glasnevin
